About
We build metal furniture to fit your home, not the other way around.
ATYP is a custom metal furniture maker. You choose the size, the finish, and the mounting. We make the piece.
Why we exist
We started with a wall that nothing fit.
Every maker remembers the first piece. Ours was built for a wall no catalogue could answer: the right width did not exist, the right colour was never offered, and the right mounting was an afterthought. So we measured, cut steel, and made it. The workshop grew from that habit of saying yes to the exact piece, and we have kept the habit ever since.
The workshop
Made by hand in Slovakia
We are a small workshop, not a warehouse line. Every piece is cut, welded, and finished by the people who designed it, in Slovakia.
We make in small batches. That keeps the work honest and lets us build to your measurements instead of rounding you to the nearest stock size.
How we work
Catalogues end where your space begins
Most brands sell what fits their catalogue, so you adapt your room to the product. We work the other way. You give us the width, the wall, and the look, and we build the piece around them.
- Size built to your measurements, not a fixed range
- Finish powder coated in any RAL shade you choose
- Mounting screw fixings or adhesive, whichever your wall needs
Material
Powder-coated steel, made in Europe
We build in steel and powder coat it by hand. The finish is water resistant, rust resistant, and scratch resistant, so a piece holds its surface in a kitchen or a bathroom for years.
Steel is the honest choice for furniture that should not be temporary. It does not warp, it does not chip like veneer, and a welded joint does not loosen. When a wall changes, the piece moves with you and mounts again.
Everything is made in Europe. Each piece is backed by a two-year guarantee, because we expect it to outlast the trend that sold it.
Made to order
We only build what someone is waiting for
There is no warehouse and no stock to clear. A piece begins when you order it and is built for your measurements, your finish, and your wall. Nothing is made on the chance that somebody might want it.
That is why a piece takes three to five weeks. The time is the making, cutting, welding, coating, and checking one piece, once, properly.
What we hold ourselves to
Three habits, every piece.
Quality is not a department here. It is the same pair of hands cutting, coating, and checking.
- Welded every joint is welded and hand finished, never glued or clipped
- Coated powder coated in-house, in any RAL shade you name
- Checked each piece is checked by hand before it ships, then backed for two years
In numbers

In his words
I kept meeting people who knew exactly what they needed, down to the centimetre and the colour, and could not buy it anywhere. So I built a workshop to make it.The founder. Slovakia
